Government announces Rs 3700 crore aid package for farmers in the state

In the legislature, the state government is considering providing assistance to farmers in the state in case of crop losses of 33 per cent and above. Out of the night area of ​​about 1 lakh lakh hectares in 123 talukas of 20 districts of the state, approximately 1 lakh lakh hectares will be eligible for assistance this year as per the kharif season assistance norms. An aid package of Rs 3700 crore has been announced for this.


Loss 33 per cent and above in case of crop loss, maximum Rs. 10 thousand per hectare will be paid for 2 hectares. In addition, farmers have decided to pay at least Rs 5,000 even though they have less land. The aid package will benefit an estimated 27 lakh farmer account holders in the state.

The portal for online application for this assistance will be open from October 1, with the cost of applying online being borne by the state government. Farmers have to apply from the nearest e-village center. At the end of the approval process as per the application, the assistance will be deposited directly online in the farmer's bank account, the CM said.

If crop damage is estimated in other talukas of the state, the Raja government will also consider it.
