According to the meteorological department, conditions are favorable for the monsoon to continue in parts of North Arabian Sea, rest of Konkan, parts of Gujarat, most parts of Central Maharashtra, entire Karnataka and parts of Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Heavy rains are expected in northeastern India and sub-Himalayan region of West Bengal and Sikkim in the next five days. At the same time, in the next few hours, Thane, Raigad, Palghar, Ratnagiri and areas around Mumbai will get showers with heavy winds and thundershowers.
