Started for students to get scholarship from Swabhiman: Dr. Rajendra Khimani In a conversation with Divya Bhaskar about Yuva Swabhiman program, Dr. Rajendra Khimani, Kulnayak of Gujarat Vidyapeeth said that this scheme has been working for last eight years. Scholarships are usually given to the student on the basis of his caste or merit, but when the scholarships are given to the students, the giver gets a sense of gratitude and the receiver gets a feeling of wanting to keep the student a little lower.
Instead, the program has been started so that the students can get scholarships with self-respect. In this, the student gets the scholarship by working hard himself and also pays the fee for the next year, due to which the parents of the students do not have to bear the financial burden and at the same time the students can understand the value of this hard earned money.
