Another rise in inflation: Adani CNG gas price hikes ahead of festivals, new rates effective from today




As the festivals continue, another blow of inflation has hit the public in Gujarat. Adani CNG price hiked by Rs 3 from today.

Another price hike has hit the people of Gujarat. Adani CNG prices have increased again after a short period of stability in Gujarat. Natural gas prices were reduced earlier. After which the price of Adani CNG has been increased again. Today's price of CNG has been increased by three rupees, the new price of CNG gas has become 86.90 rupees per kg today.

Adani CNG prices were reduced on August 18

It may be mentioned that on August 18, the price of Adani CNG was reduced. Then the CNG price was 83.90. After which the price of CNG gas has been increased by 3 rupees again today. Which has increased to 86.90. Earlier, CNG gas was available at Rs 83.90 per kg in Ahmedabad. Today this price has gone up to Rs 86.90 per kg.

Let it be said here that the condition of the middle class families has now become like a betel nut in the face of rising inflation. After yesterday's repo rate, today the price of Adani CNG has increased, and the public has been hit hard by the festive season. People will have to pay Rs 86.90 from today compared to yesterday's price of Rs 83.90.

Increase in gas price of ONGC's old fields

It may be mentioned that according to the order of the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) of the Ministry of Oil, the gas price of ONGC and Oil India's old fields was increased from $6.1 to $8.57 per mmbtu. At this rate, about two-thirds of the gas produced in the country will be sold. According to the order, the price of gas extracted from difficult and new fields like D-6 block operated by Reliance Industries Ltd and its partner BP Plc in the KG basin has been increased from $9.92 to $12.6 per unit. This will be the third hike in gas rates since April 2019. It has increased due to strength in benchmark international prices.
