A yellow mile stone

If the upper part of the mile stone on the side of the road you are traveling on is yellow and the lower part is white then you are traveling on a national highway. This colored mile stone also means that this road is built by the Central Government and this road is managed by the Central Government.

A green mile stone

Wherever you see the upper part of the mile stone is green and the lower part is white, understand that you are traveling on a state highway and not on a national highway. This road is managed not by the central government but by the state government. If the road is broken, it is the responsibility of the state government to repair it.

A black mile stone

If the upper part of the mile stone is black and the lower part is white, it means that you are traveling on a major city or district road. Let us tell you that like other roads, this road is also the responsibility of the district.
