Spokesperson Minister Rishikeshbhai Patel while addressing a press conference at Gandhinagar said that the farmer interest oriented government led by Chief Minister Bhupendrabhai Patel has taken many important decisions. In Gujarat, crop loans are provided to farmers at zero percent interest rate. Under this scheme, farmers are given 04 percent interest subsidy by the government. In the next 100 days, the state government will pay an amount of Rs.417 crore to the farmers as interest subsidy on crop loans.

Giving further details, the minister said that a national cooperative database of about 5,000 PACs, milk and fisheries cooperative societies of the state will be prepared. 8,000 PACs-service cooperatives to be computerized in the next three years after completing district level meetings for PACs computerization. Spokesperson Minister Rishikeshbhai Patel said that more than 1.7 lakh farmers of 2,623 villages affected by heavy rains in 16 districts of the state during Kharif season have been paid assistance of over Rs.113 crore.

State spokesperson Minister Rishikesh Patel while addressing the media said that reports of crop loss due to heavy rains were received in 16 districts this year in Kharif season. In this context, the state government announced the Agricultural Relief Package-2022 to help the farmers. Under which more than 1.7 lakh farmers of 2,623 villages affected by heavy rains in 16 districts of the state during Kharif season have been paid assistance of more than Rs.113 crores.

A total of 2623 affected villages of 52 talukas were included
The minister further added that in this agricultural relief package-2022, a total of 52 taluks of Chotaudepur, Narmada, Panchmahal, Navsari, Valsad, Surat, Tapi, Dang, Kutch, Anand, Kheda, Junagadh, Morbi, Porbandar, Jamnagar and Devbhoomi Dwarka districts 2623 affected villages have been included.

Pending applications will be paid shortly
In this package, a total of 1,38,547 applications were received online on the Digital Gujarat portal. Out of which a total of 1,34,918 applications have been approved out of which a total of 1,07,497 farmers have received assistance of Rs.113.79 crore directly into their bank accounts through DBT. has been paid through. The minister added that the process of payment of outstanding eligible applications would be completed soon.
Giving more details about the assistance package, the Minister said that the farmers of the affected villages whose crops have lost 33% and above have been provided with assistance of Rs.6800/- per hectare in the limit of two (2) hectares in crops other than plantain. is While Rs 13,500 from SDRF + Rs 16,500 from STATE budget for plantain crop, a total of Rs 30,000/- per hectare has been provided to be paid within the limit of two (2) hectares, spokesperson Minister Rishikesh Patel added.
